In the alumina production process, the sodium aluminate solution is cooled by cooling water in the wide channel heat exchanger during the decomposition sequence, and in the agglomeration sequence, the surface of the large welded plate heat exchanger in the solid-liquid fluidized bed often scars, which accelerates the local abrasion rate of the plate, the pump consumption increases sharply, and the heat transfer deteriorates, resulting in a decrease in the decomposition rate of sodium aluminate and product quality. When the equipment management personnel find that the heat exchanger has failed, the equipment is almost scrapped. Such problems cause frequent unplanned maintenance of the alumina production system, a significant increase in the system start-up and shutdown operating costs, and unnecessary economic losses.
